Using EOC 2012 as a vehicle we aim to bring orienteering to the attention of a wider general public. All the arenas offer good opportunies for public friendly activities and happenings. In particular, we will be able to draw on the experiences of organizing these type of activities for the annual world cup skiing races at Arena Lugnet.
Environmental and climate issues are a focus for Sweden and the whole world. The EOC organising committee will actively work to ensure that this will be a truly green event which will strengthen orienteering’s position as a responsible organiser of major championships.
