After all of Simone Niggli’s gold medals and the men’s gold in relay, Switzerland was the superior winner of the medal league (4-0-2). Norway came as the second after Olav Lundanes two gold and bronze of Carl Waaler Kaas (2-0-1). The hosting nation Sweden ended on the third place (1-3-2). Russia which won women’s relay came as the fourth (1-2-2). Other medal winning countries during the EOC were Finland (0-2-1), Bulgaria (0-1-0), Denmark (0-0-1) and France (0-0-1).
