Welcome to Dalarna
The official Media Centre of EOC/ETOC 2012 will be in First Grand Hotel in the town centre of Falun (Trotzgatan 9-11, 791 71 Falun, phone: +46 (0)23 794 880).
Please, remember to pay the parking fee (coins or card) in the parking machines at the parking areas outside the hotel.
The Media Centre will provide an official event service including starting lists, official result lists and maps.
Fully equipped Arena Media centres will be available in the arenas of all EOC races, except of sprint qualification. The arena for sprint qualification is within a short walking distance from the main Media Centre in First Grand Hotel.
Arena Media centres will provide working places, power for laptops, internet access, etc.

Accreditation
Media representatives are kindly asked to make their accreditation upon their arrival in Media Centre in First Grand Hotel in Falun or in Arena Media centres.
Parking at arenas
There are special parking areas marked VIP/Media/Teams at each arena. To be able to use these reserved parking places you have to place the EOC parking sign behind the windscreens, clearly visible from outside. Ask for the EOC parking sign during your accreditation.
Press conferences / Ceremonies
Friday May 11th at 13:00 – Falu Gruvan (Coppermine) conference centre, Falun – Press conference with the Swedish national team and the EOC organizers
Thursday May 17th at 11:30 (during the middle final) – Arena Skattungbyn – Opening Ceremony, the Minister for Culture and Sports Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth will inaugurate the EOC
Media/press conferences will be held after the final races. These media/press conferences will take place immediately after the prize giving ceremonies at the Arena Media centres.
Times of prize giving ceremonies
- Middle distance – Thursday May 17th at 16:45
- Long distance – Friday May 18th at 16:00
- Sprint – Saturday May 19th at 16:30
- Relay – Sunday May 20th at 16:00
Photo controls
Photo zones for accredited photographers will be available in the arenas. During the final races there will also be a photo zone close to one of the control points in the competition area to which photographers will be accompanied in limited numbers.
Further information about photo zones will be available in Arena Media centres prior each race.
Try orienteering
There is no Media Race, but media representatives are welcome to run “ÖM-classes” (Öppen motion) within the EOC Tour. Starting fee for each race is 90 SEK, registration at Öppen motion/Direktanmälan at each arena.

Entry 8:00 – 11:30, Start anytime between 9:00 and 12:00
Sunday 20th
Entry 7:30 – 10:30, Start anytime between 8:00 and 11:00
